In 1989, a city in Utah upgraded its drinking water system, putting in a whole new system and repurposing the old one to supply cheap untreated water for irrigating lawns and putting out fires. That meant that the treated water suitable for drinking flowed from new spigots, while untreated water gushed from the old ones. Decades went by with no apparent confusion; residents seemed clear on the two different water sources.

A newly surfaced memo from a Sarasota Police investigator described numerous text messages between Christian and Bridget Ziegler where the two were "on the prowl" for a female sexual encounter at different bars, according to records obtained by the Herald-Tribune. In the memo, SPD investigator Angela Cox described seeing messages where Bridget would direct Christian in search of someone they were both interested in having sex with. Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani was officially served with a felony indictment on Friday night for allegedly interfering in Arizona's 2020 presidential election. Officials with the office of Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes served Giuliani in front of nearly 100 guests at his 80th birthday celebration in the Palm Beach, Florida area. They must concede they can't count votes." Mayes posted a screenshot of the tweet after it was deleted.

The former president is in the historically reliable blue state Friday evening to headline the Minnesota GOP's annual Lincoln Reagan fundraising dinner. He began his speech with the usual jabs at Biden's cognitive ability, but also referenced the recently agreed to debates between the two. If anyone interferes with President Joe Biden's commencement speech at Morehouse College on Sunday in Atlanta, all ceremonies will be canceled "on the spot," David A. Thomas, college president, told CNN Thursday. Thomas said the school will not allow "disruptive behavior that prevents the ceremony or services from proceeding in a manner that those in attendance can partake and enjoy." Commencement ceremonies at colleges and universities across the country have been interrupted or modified in recent weeks, prompting schools to move celebrations off campus over student-led protests in response to the Israel-Hamas war, according to USA TODAY. Ceremonies will be "ceased" if any disruptive behavior escalates, including any "prolonged shouting down" while the president speaks. Thomas said he also won't allow police to remove students from the ceremony in zip ties. "I will cease the ceremonies on the spot If we were to reach that position," he said.

Colorado Republican Lauren Boebert on Thursday was ridiculed on social media after proudly proclaiming that Donald Trump has undergone "testing for his cognitive dissonance," while making a slip-up of her own. Boebert, who earlier in the day made an appearance at a criminal court in New York in support of the former president, said during a hearing that, "President Trump, when he was in office, underwent testing for his cognitive dissonance, for his ability to function as president of the United States." The lawmaker then went on to attempt to say a line about Joe Biden, but stumbled on the word "teleprompter."
